Belgrade (Београд) is the capital and largest city of Serbia in Eastern Europe. The City of Belgrade has a population of 1.2 million. These two threads focus on the brutalist architecture from the socialist Yugoslavia era. All photos taken between 12 and 15 October 2017 with the Sony RX100 (I) compact camera.
Genex Tower
The area Novi Beograd (New Belgrade) is divided into neighborhood blocks with many residential apartments, often in the brutalism style. In block 33 is the Genex Tower (official name is Western City Gate) from 1979 and 154 meters high. The building consists of two towers, an office tower and residential tower, which are connected at the top by a bridge and a restaurant that has since been closed. The office tower is not in use anymore.

Televizorke flats
The Televizorke flats are located in block 28 of Novi Beograd. The two residential apartments were built in the period 1970-1974 and the nickname comes from the windows that look like the screens of (old) televisions.
