The winners of this things are likely to be where the higher populations are, so bias.

It's number 1! The first to pass 40,000 votes! The city tourism department is ecstatic.

I voted for the Manitoba Legislature. The symbolism alone makes it a wonder.

go Thunder Bay!!!! Canadians love you

Brokenhead, if you were right, Thunder Bay wouldn't be first.
I voted for the legislature too and everything Manitoba plus Quebec City, the prairie sky and the Saguenay Fjord. Manitoba legislature is still the only legislative building nominated... a great honor indeed.

Well the Sleeping Giant is in Ontario. It's the only Ontario Provincial Park. That might have something to do with it, but I doubt it. Thunder Bayers are really good at getting together and doing things like this. We raise about 2 million a year for the United Way alone and there are only 120,000 of us so how hard can clicking a mouse be? Thunder Bay Televisions hourly updates on the damn thing help too, every radio station has caught on. It's kinda creepy..

oh my gosh Thunder Bayians are lobbying hard... that's it!

Manitobans can't get up from their deep freeze sleep, all they think about is to cut the lawn, go to the cottage, and... i can't really find anything else Manitobans are very passionate about

I call them slushies, so does everyone I know.

Doesn't 7-11 call them slurpies? and likely own the rights to this name?

Vid - am I misreading what you said here? The "only" provincial park in Ontario?? I believe there are quite a few, like any other province...or, did you mean the only provincial park on the list??

^I passed this list out to a few friends to vote, and of course, all of them voted for their local attractions...pretty sad actually, that "Prairie Skies" is beating out something like Mount Thor.

...which isn't even that far ahead of the Vegreville Egg and the "Montreal Bagel" (what about "Winnipeg cream cheese"? They go together quite well :-).

This just shows that most don't venture to even look at the different nominees.

I meant the only one on the list. I thought I wrote that, I guess I didn't. Sorry for the confusion.

They're having technically difficulties. Niagara Falls' propaganda scheme has put them in a 700 point lead over Nanabizhoo. The bastards.

Too much media concentration. That IS kinda creepy.

Of course what they do in Fargo is just as... KVLY (NBC) and KXJB (CBS) news are done from the same studio, same desk, except that the monitor in the set has the different logo... I used to remember in the 70s and early 80s when they were totally separate statons.

Lol, Thunder Bay Television used to have two sets but only one camera, and news on two channels at once. When channel 2 went to commercial, they would move the camera around so it faced the set of channel 4, and then they would air that news until the end of the commercial on channel 2, then switch back and air a commercial on channel 4. Back when their set was a giant oval covered in shag carpeting suspended from the ceiling.

The 80s were fucked up.
