I think I would have preferred the other design, if only because it's a different color. How many other buildings (that were built in the last 15 years) that aren't either blue glass, or off white and blue glass? I think there's Third + Shoal, Van Zandt, Ashton, and Zaza, and that's basically it.

The parking podium is starting to get its skin. I may need to make another trip downtown for some photos.

I may have to recant all the bad things I ever said about the Molar. This thing could be pretty space-agey.

I'm actually having the opposite feelings. That parking podium is looking even worse, more monstrous.

I've been housebound since March, so enthusiastic about pretty much anything that's outside. It probably IS monstrous and because it doesn't look like my livingroom, I'm head over heels for it.

Quarantine brain, unfortunately.

I'm certainly off my prior rants regarding this, I think it will look interesting when completed, but if you are head over heels about this due to being stuck at home for so long, I'm wondering how you feel about the Indy crown and the turd sculptures now.

My only hope is that it becomes one of those buildings that's so ugly that it's unique and quirky. Like it makes the buildings around it look all the better by comparison (see: the Verizon switching building in NYC).

The people parking on the top levels are going to be dizzy and catch vertigo after circling up & down that monstrous mess.

this is only my 4th or 5th post defending this tower

A) it was designed to and will complement its surroundings. this is not a failed design from another city. this was designed to sit exactly where and how it sits. it will work with frost bank and hobby building

B) a surplus of parking is obviously parking that will not need to be built in upcoming adjacent projects

C) at 360' this building is not trying to accomplish things many are accusing it of failing at.

D) different is GOOD, and the quirkier parts of this design will work because this is not a 500-600' project

Another long time supporter of this design..... I really like the thinking behind it.

I like it. It's a very unique parking design, I like the office portion, the public Sky Lobby will likely be one of Downtown's best spaces, and the visual balance between the different sections looks great in the renderings.

The north face looks like shit.

We will see about that. As it is, there's already a surplus of parking in this area and yet 15 stories of garage are being added. I don't buy this idea of other projects won't be needing surplus parking. They will build parking regardless if they think they can make money doing so.
