That made me chuckle. Based on your posts I had assumed you guys were brothers!

Just for the record this IS a no-no on SSP. If you are getting harassed, report it to mods. No counter-doxxing please.

Lol, no, that would take away all the fun!

I know a number of SSP members personally, though most don't post anymore, or only do so periodically.
I suspect the things what you and I dislike about SSP don't overlap that much, which means SSP is probably doing things "right" as an acceptable compromise. It's second to none as a place to discuss urban affairs online, IMO. I've checked out a few alternatives and they don't come close.

I dunno, I'm probably overreacting based on some conversations I had in real life this evening, and I know you aren't malicious at all.
I don't think anyone participating in this particular thread has any malicious intent when they decide to attempt the challenge of "finding" another SSPer in real life. No need to worry!

I have said enough about myself on this forum that I know for sure I can be found by anyone committed enough to do it. I trust no one here hates me enough to try to exploit that - and even if someone did, well, then I'd just have to fend it off (I'd be morally and legally on the good side of whatever they'd try).

So, I feel it's fair enough that I can track other people down, they can do the same to me. And again, I'd never dox anyone without their approval. (I remember MolsonExport once thought I'd do that, but it was absolutely not the case at all.)

lio - I'm sure you know that you frustrate the hell out of me sometime but I would still have a beer with you and chat about things in person anytime. Which is an example of SSP doing things right, I think.

That means I would have been outed when I blew VANRIDERFAN's cover...

Ps: I also found out Djeffrey's, and I might have an idea about FrAnKs'.

I was wondering how come he just dropped from SSP like that...
Ha, I know exactly the property you're talking about (at least, I think I do.. he bought it in 2016 I think?). He still lives there so you could in theory show up on his doorstep.

As far as I can tell he's basically stopped using the internet.

Yep, exactly.

Pretty sure he doesn't regret that move at all, a few years later.

Oh, I'd absolutely have drinks and chat about things in person with you anytime as well.

Way I see this, it's totally self-selecting: anyone too petty and close-minded to potentially accept to have a beer and chat in person just because we occasionally had minor disagreements on an online forum is not likely to be a nice person so no great loss there.

I am tempted to apologize for rubbing you and some others the wrong way, but I'll at least say this: I don't see that we would disagree on much stuff (of real import) in person. This forum is an open discussion space and the nature of that often leads to people clashing on their 1% of diverging views, when they silently agree on the other 99%. It also tends to greatly magnify how deeply committed someone is to what they say on here. For example I sounded extremely uncompromisingly anti-religious on SSP with my defense of Bill 21, but here I am being tolerant with homophobes and going out of my way to accommodate Ramadan.

The thought of someone on here finding my real identity isn't particularly scary (in all honesty I'd be amused if someone did DM me with a guess of my name) as I generally assume that in this day and age it's trivial to track people down if you're determined enough.

I'm curious to see if you can track down Acajack.

Bonus points if you can find out who he voted for in the previous elections!

For sure. And just speaking for myself, but your posts bother me a lot less than many others. I do find it a laugh that you are branded as a Trump guy which seems ridiculous.

Don’t worry it was a pretty idle threat!

Plus you have zero malicious intent on here.

Don't be cruel!

I just googled my name (full name, not the shortened version I use for almost everything) and found it with a connection to my employer online. It's buried pretty deep though. My boss knows I post here but doesn't think much of people talking over the internet.

I think that anyone posting things online that could get them fired, or even a talking to by their boss Should - Not - Post - It.

No where have I ever posted something that I would need to worry about being made public.

It's probably quite clear which one is me as well.
