It will be interesting to see what else starts to develop at P & M when the downtown portion of the BRT gets underway.

I've heard a somewhat substantiated rumour going around that the plan is to shut down Portage East to traffic and turn it into a transit-only woonerf. Access to Fairmont and other buildings will be off a loop from Westbrook.

Not really, but I imagine we may find out when the final transit plan is released later this year.

Easy now. This is Winnipeg lol. Light rail....and fancy light rail too boot.
My grandkids will be dead by the time we ever see this. We will get this when the rest of the world is using maglev trains and these would be their throw away lol

I don't think there's any need to be so negative. Really, what's required in Winnipeg is political will and leadership at the provincial and city level. There is money available.
