Sooooo, does anyone know if this is the color scheme of the night lighting year round, or is this current night lighting on the Frost tower just for the holiday season??

Either way, like I said before, this building is a STUNNER!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!

As you can tell, the tower is on a "color changing mode" so I took a picture of most of the colors that it changes to. It also changes to yellow, purple, and white (I might of saw orange too?) for a split second. I recorded a video of the colors changing that i'll probably post on YouTube and place on here. I wish I can get a photo of the skyline at night because it looks amazing from a distance. Anyone know where there's a good, safe place to stop and take a photo of the SA skyline?

Sooooo, how would one get in contact with you privately, if they know of a place??

Unless it's a private residence or something.

Downtown last night I overheard some people jokingly referring to it as the “chopped” tower, because it looked like it had been chopped in half and the top is missing.

It’s a pretty building for sure, but I think especially in a day and age when people are so mobile and see impressive skyscrapers in other cities all the time, it’s going to be hard to convince people here that this 23 floor building is some kind of marvel of modern engineering.

Sometimes people like to put down what the are envious of. It's kinda sad I know, but some people are just that way.

I’m confused. Why would people who live in San Antonio be envious of the Frost Tower if it’s... already in San Antonio?

You said people are so mobile, so it's easy to infer from that that the people you overheard were from out of town, especially downtown, which is often filled with tourists even more than usual this time of year.

That looks awesome. One of my favorite "lit at night" buildings is Dallas' Bank of America Plaza, and this is at least the next best thing in Texas. By the way, the Bank of America Plaza in Dallas for a long time had been lit using argon gas lighting to create the green lights, but a few years ago they switched over to LEDs because their maintenance is easier and it gave them the option of using multiple colors. That building was always lit green, but I think it looks best in blue myself. I would imagine they're running all the colors on the Frost Bank HQ to test them for now. There's no reason they couldn't run all the colors year round, and have the "Christmas colors" for this time of year. My guess is they probably will either let them phase in and out as they're doing now, or pick one and stick with it for a while before changing it again. Anyway, I think it looks great. I'd love to see a skyline pic at night showing it, or even from the Tower of the Americas.

Ah, I see what you’re saying.

I was switching it up and going back to my own personal views, as someone who lives in San Antonio, and wants taller buildings.

You don’t have to agree with it obviously, but I find it odd how some seem to take issue with those of us who want taller buildings here. I mean, the forum is literally called Skyscraper Page.

And as I was attending a SPECTACULAR downtown Xmas party last night, all I heard was RAVE, POSITIVE critiques about the new addition to the SA skyline!!

VERY interesting!

What YOU overheard were probably tourists from some rural area, and that is OK!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

Unfortunately, I've made that same observation. It just has a half done look to it.

Yeah. Three more floors... that's all it needed to look complete. Oh well, it still looks good (except for the garage).
