What were the specs for HOK's proposal?

Is there still potential for that proposal or is the first page the final design?

Good. I mean I like the HOK architecture; but Houston IMO needs some more roof-line diversity starting at 600' at the very least.

Plus that IMO elusive 900'>er downtown...I've always loathed that gap between it and the Galleria w/ Williams.

I like that this is being built 45 degrees to the street grid. Gives it increased focus as a bookend.

that's a nice looking tower.

and pretty tall too. only the 2nd tower over 700' to be built in texas in the last 30 years.

It seem like there's a ton of above ground parking in this project, is that safe to assume? Other than that, the tower looks alright. Nice to have some retail uses.

Yes majority of the parking levels are above ground.

It's my understanding the water table is very high in Houston, hence it would be very difficult to have too many sub-levels.

Wow, I didnt know about this one, always hoped an awesome tower would rise from that crappy parking lot.
