Haggard Place Tower still a Go

Developers of a proposed West Plano condo tower say a zoning brouhaha in the neighborhood won’t affect their project.

Back in May, Visions5 LLC – a new real estate development company headed by John Richardson and James Morgenstern – announced plans for a 20-story condo tower to be built on part of the Haggard Farm near Spring Creek Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway.

Construction start is expected to start in late fall 2014.

The Kroger-anchored 250,000-square-foot shopping center already has wound through Proper's zoning process and Silverman is working through conceptual drawings with the project's architect, CR Architecture and Design of Dallas.

Silverman says he expects to hire a Kroger-approved general contractor to develop the property. He plans to break ground on the project in January or February of 2015, with an expectation of completing the project in early 2016.

Albeit small, I like all of the open space, especially the two larger parks. The elementary school woven into the neighborhood is also a HUGE perk for families...very smart and kind of old-school.

New Rendering for Bleu Ciel

Quote:
The Premier Penthouses are distinguished by a stunning two-story cantilevered pool with unmatched views of the Dallas skyline. This focal feature serves as a window into the media room below, and hovers at more than 420 feet above the plaza level below.
With the Penthouse pulls at 420' then Bleu Ciel gets pretty close to that 450' mark

As a Houstonian I have to admit that I'm pretty jealous of the Blue Ciel and the Preston Hollow Village! I'm happy all of our Texas cities are growing the way they are!

The updated hotel will have roughly the same number of rooms, about 120, and the first-floor space will be converted into an expanded lobby and bar area serving “comfort food,” said Rajiv Trivedi, La Quinta’s executive vice president and chief development officer.

Trivedi estimates the revamped hotel will open in late 2015 or early 2016.
