Well, it was just too nice out not to get some exercise at lunch.

Updated for picpile server loss.

1 - View across Forest Park Boulevard.

There were a few other things going on in the neighbbourhood as well. I noticed that there's a sign behind the building on Euclid and Lindell for construction parking. Maybe there's some moving forward on the Lindell Condominium or it could just be the 4545 Lindell construction. I also noticed that the vacant restaurant/bar beside Coffee Cartel and the CWE Bank has a notice for a liquor license approval hearing and it's going to be opening as a bar again.

Looks like about three or four floors left before the crown is going up. Glass is now up about five stories from the podium and I've included another rendering of the Park East Lofts (looks like what will be facing on Euclid.)

Thanks for all the updates. All the glass makes for a nice contrast with the older buildings.

St. Louis - Park East Tower construction

The new ParkEast Tower residential tower in St. Louis is taking to the skyline.
The tower is roughly 26 stories up now. It is located in the Central West End highrise district of the city. All but 4 of the codos have now been sold. http://www.parkeasttower.com/

Topped out now with some upper details to come. The black ?antennae? structure on top isn't centered here so I'm not sure if the top has changed dramatically (maybe two antennaes?) This is looking from the NorthWest and the rendering is from the SouthEast.

Hmmm...my mistake, it is centered. I should get out of the apartment building more often.

I think they're scared to finish off closing it in because of the heat.

This is beautiful! I wish they'd build something like this, but on a smaller scale here.

I talked with one of the workers this morning and they are working hard to get it closed in. They aren't waiting around because of the heat and they should be totally closed in in about a month he said.

Apparently the Chase Apartments next door to the Chase Hotel on Lindell is going to be remodelling all of the suites (~200) at some point and he did allude to the start of construction on the Renaissance, but he didn't know a timeline, but the Subway has got their sign up across the street now. Once they've moved out I think preparations for demolition of the Doctor's Building can go ahead.

It also looks like PicPile has officially given up the ghost so the old updates I had placed may not be visible anymore. If they are indeed gone, I'll try and edit my posts down so the pages load in a reasonable time again or replace the images on photobucket, but I might not remember all the views, so I'll probably trim them up a bit.

A solid addition to the CWE.

A few more details here, including the nuevo-deco lights on the front and SouthEast corner of the parking garage. Apparently one more month to finish closing it in was a bit of an optimistic view.

Woohoo, the crane is coming down!

There's an address on the front doors.

Some of the sidewalk has been replaced (that happened last week) and the windows of the street-level commercial are going in.

The worker lift has also been removed, things are just about finished up from the outside now.
