Nah, never met anyone from off here. I think we only had a Hamilton SSP meetup once or twice a decade ago but I couldn't make it for whatever reason. Kinda weird actually cause I usually end up meeting people from the various online groups I've been a part of for awhile. SSP might actually be one of the longest ones, think my membership on here is probably coming up on a decade soon. Speaking of, I'm on a few other online communities and I think I've seen some people from them who are on here and pretty sure they've noticed me from them as well. Urban exploring stuff.

Guess we'll have to have a meetup soon to exchange dirt, I mean names and stories... yeah.

I'm not naming names but I know three people's identities from other forums (all highway related forums). Another I know from frequent comments on public transit issues in my former local paper. Another person, I know he's a professor in my undergrad program at Western, but I've never quite figured out who he is.

Speaking of Western, about 10 years ago I saw someone in a computer lab there posting on SSP. No idea who it was.

I think I'm the only Monctonian that posts here other than MonctonRad. Small pond and all that.

Although in general I have nothing to hide and care little about being exposed. I'm always careful to throw in a few red herrings with each online account I have to make connecting the dots a little harder.

Most of the Calgary forumers I've met at least once or twice through our various meetups. I'm also acquainted with some of our Edmonton forumers, some of our forumers who now reside in foreign locations (principally in Hong Kong and Shanghai) and am connected to some other Canadian forumers through social media. I think a number of us on the Calgary forum are on a first-name basis, although it's normally kept low-key.

Yeah, I've been in contact lately with one of his college buddies from there who remembered him as the paradiggum guy...

Pooling every resource this community has, and combing through his posting history for clues here and there, we might actually be able to identify Acajack. It would take a serious collective effort, though.

I lived in a number of places all over the Maritimes but didn't go to high school in Moncton. (Though I did live fairly close to Moncton, but not actually *in* Moncton.)

Truro I mostly know as a crossroads type of place. I've never lived there.

I think it's always best to try to remain discrete and keep my online persona completely separate from my real one.

Good advice in a public arena, unless you decide to run for public office..on second thought, be even more discrete in that scenario ....
