Also for the overall success each component should strive to offer more.

That being said, having only left Calgary a few months ago, I know it is on the right tracks for the most part, especially with Nenshi as mayor. Hopefully he will be able to curb sprawl and the city can focus on improving the areas already in place before expanding further. Calgary has the opportunity to right a lot of the wrongs with regards to its growth during the boom.

Ok, I kind of want to come and do whatever you are doing......Vancouver is great.

Was originally going to rent my condo in building 1 out but now I'll be moving in when my floor is done.

Really excited about it, to be honest. The location is the big thing for me.

Currently I'm in Bankview and I can't wait to be closer to the Ctrain and Foothills campus.

I'm gonna check up with them soon, but their hope is that the lower levels of building 1 would be completed and ready for move-in by end of October, my floor will be closer to end of Nov

Hey guys, just updating as promised:

Had my walk in the other day, the move-ins got pushed back to ~ February (I was originally told) for building 1

But now they are ahead of schedule. Buildings are mostly finished (building 1, aka orange building, is farther along) they still have lots of general cosmetic work to do but the units themselves are as good as finished

i'm way up top, got a fantastic view of nosehill park. Now the final word is we can expect first people to move in (lower floors) in mid-late December, this is from the construction manager himeself...the flood ended up backing up a lot of the permit processes etc @ city hall thats one of the reasons for the move in delay

I'm thinking of looking into building 4 (green) as well for a larger unit, I can see my current one getting a little cramped

I live right by marda loop currently

I believe excavation may have started on towers 3 and 4. I couldn't see the diggers above ground when passing by today.

Shouldn't be too long before we see action there. They definitely aren't waiting on sales.

I was under the impression Building 3 was fully sold out, and 4 was getting pretty close. But it was a bit exciting to see some people have started moving in the other night when we drove past, only a half dozen lit up condos between the two buildings but its a start. All were on the lower dozen floors, so that may be all thats been given possession so far.

Just saw an add that showed the first 3 buildings as sold out, with building 4 at 70% sold, so not sure what the hold up is.

Any ideas on what the timeline might be like on the last two buildings?

Thinking of stopping by the sales center and diving in...

They are now UC. I took a good look while on the train this morning. The excavators were moving, digging.

^Yep, and they are also starting sales of building 5, and they tossed the idea around quite a bit regarding what it would be for...at one point was just offices, changed apparently only for seniors, now they settled with more spacious condos akin to the other buildings

I've been considering investing into building 4, and now building 5 but for that kind of money you might as well get into infill development imo

For anyone still considering looking into a unit, I should mention the University City people, those behind the counter, have been fantastic overall one of the better sales teams I've come across. The personnel have changed over the last few years but there's been consistency in their friendliness and helpfulness.

Great design. Logical land use. Good redevelopment of the area.

I do wish that they had picked slightly less eye-popping and clashing colours, but ah well.

Thankfully as yet the traffic has not gotten bad in the area so it seems a lot are using transit. so yay for that.

significant upgrades to Blakiston Park are also now funded by the City. Will be a nice spot.

I would hazard a guess and say a good chunk of these units are being rented to students which also would account for the lack of traffic issues.

Aside from the colours of the buildings, which is a personal opinion - some love it, some hate it - you can't beat the location, and the nearby amenities.
