Who the fuck would buy this? Looks like shit

That's horrifying. Subway has also tossed out everything I like about them too. Pre-ordering on the app used to get me exactly what custom sub I wanted without any interactions. Now it's like buying a car.

"Here is the base model. No, you can't add AC or remove the spoiler."

If I want a steak and cheese chipotle wrap, I have to order a basic burrito and yell "NO GUAC!" in my special instructions and live with all the rice that takes the place of more steak.

ok good so I wasn't just re-imagining my childhood

Timmies really needs to go back to a Canadian owned company, baked in-store donuts, get rid of all the new products that drive the employees nuts.
Hamilton has a donut/coffee shop called Grandad's and it reminds me of 1980s Tim Hortons. The donuts taste very similar!

And that flakie looks delicious.
that's hilarious. sometimes I buy products for nostalgia value. Usually I'm disappointed in the taste compared to what my brain remembers heheh

A&W has become my go-to when on roadtrips lately.
oh god those effing annoying shuffling digital screens!
I never eat McDonald's anymore because my body hates me within 20-30 minutes of consumption, but A&W I can tolerate and don't feel like rubbish after consumption. Clearly one is higher quality.
One used to be able to say McD's was cheap, but the price of a Big Mac alone is getting wild. I'll use the online coupons on my phone for A&W

Yes, almost every Canadian kid had one of their products in their lunchbox.
I recently bought the fusion Jos Louis + Ah Caramel product and it's delicious for mass produced-awful-ingredient treats

Recommend for the nostalgia and the mashup of flavours

Billot Log (pink) for me, please.

What a horrible product name for something that is so good.

Log Log! (where's Acajack and Lio to chime in)
I forget, is that basically a jelly roll with coconut on the exterior?

Yes, Canadian redundancy at it's finest.

Yup. My grandma made strawberry jam jelly-rolls from scratch so maybe there is a nostalgia link. They were never as sweet as the log-log though!

Is it redundant or is it just simply french and english like all other food packaging we have?

The latter, but just a horrible name with a yucky translation, regardless. Doesn't even sound like food. Neither "billot" or "log" sound palatable.

I'm currently getting SSP ads from Tim Horton's saying they're hiring. I blame this thread

One nostalgic item that used to come out seasonally that I loved but can’t find anymore were those marshmallow chocolate Santas. They were pure sugar and cheap as hell but amazing! Haven’t seen any in years. Save On used to carry them.

Look, tim's constantly changes up their menu. You could pitch pickled pork tongues and make the company tons of money.

Yeah, I like those too. Can sometimes be found at Dollarama (made by Russell Stover), Dollar Tree, and Giant Tiger.

Yes, I have a real sweet tooth.

I like all the Vachon cakes. I don't care what people think.

Flakie and Jos Louis are probably my favorites, but I like Billot-Log, May Ouest, Ah Caramel, and Half Lunes (both kinds) too.
