I got the impression that Atlantis was a bot. Everything that account posts comes from Curbed, Atlanta Business Journal, or Twitter, and the reason nobody can see the images is because they're hotlinked from Curbed's CDN.

Hulsey Yards is empty of shipping containers and trucks. Seems like they’ve moved operations from this hard to elsewhere. There’s a video on YouTube suggesting the yard will close officially 6/1 and the goods will be placed in a yard in Fairburn, GA.

That picture looks like the demo of First Baptist Church of Atlanta to me.

This is monumental news for the surrounding neighborhoods if it's true.

It's still in the planning stages

I thought the little pop-up meetings were preliminary, had no idea something was actually happening! Wow

CSX is on record as they’re not selling... but that doesn’t necessarily align with the movement we’ve seen. Trucking operations is supposed to stop to the yard- at the least.

Hulsey Park. End of master plan. You’re welcome. (Can I charge $50,000?)

Now where are you going to get the millions for building out the park and cover the lost tax revenue from that land?

That land is a prime location to be developed. People need more homes and jobs at a close-in, accessible location like that.

To add- a location walking distance to a HRT station and existing park/trail space (BeltLine, Cabbagetown Park, Oakland Cemetery, Esther Peachy...)

Here is what I have heard. CSX is not sure what to do with the property. There are a lot of options such doing a land lease, master development / partnering and doing a large project, selling off individual parcels, etc. Additionally, they're not entirely sure if they want to get rid of the property, but they understand the opportunity and from my understanding they're doing this as a trial run to see how things would work without Hulsey.

Norfolk Southern, a Hole Lot of Progress

Norfolk Southern has already caught up with Opus Place, with a lot of dirt moving and hole making.

Wow, that pic looks like the early 1990s. Can't wait to have a skyscraper there.

The obvious name will be Husley Yards. They will have whimsical railroad artifacts throughout, including shipping containers.

Are they implying there are only two units left in the whole building, or only two specific floor plans that face Piedmont Park are left?
