Better than Fat Tony's? That's what replaced California-which was good, I agree, but not really different from Nick's, Sophies, or lots of other thick-crust, Greek pizza places around town- Fat Tony's is pretty uncommon.

The soon-to-be Best Buy.

Whatever was beside Danier.

Nice example of 'urban bigbox'
I wonder if this is something that could be done at Westbrook Village, if Walmart is intent on staying in that location. It would then be tolerable.

By the way, what was Home Depot thinking when they bought land at the end of Nose Hill Drive and built a store at the bottom of Tuscany, out in the middle of nowhere?

Not to say Fat Tony's is bad pizza, but Fat Tony shouldn't be allowed to grease Spiro's pizza pans. If FT was located anywhere else but that location, I'd probably like their pizza, but it pales compared to California.

...well, my angst about 11 Street looks a little premature- all of the Michelangelo's, Giant 45 and Likrich spaces are leased. The only one that I know about (in terms of what's going in) for sure is what was Giant 45- I spotted somebody doing carpentry inside and asked if he knew what was happening- and turns out it was the owner of a new halal butcher shop opening in a little while there.

Good riddance, then. Hopefully something that doesn't suck goes in.

Does anyone have any information on the Boxwood Cafe going into the revamped Central Memorial Park?

I noticed the sign driving by on 4th which says it is connected to the River Cafe, so it should be a great addition to the park.
When is all the work in the park supposed to finish?

So exciting to see the Best Buy actually being worked on!

There is now signage saying "Coming Soon"

And beside Danier there was one of the two TD Banks that closed to become one, and a parking lot between it and Danier which has now been covered up to become another store.

Not sure if it's been posted before, as I've been out of town, but CrossIron Mills has a grand opening date on their website for the entire mall: August 19. Perhaps we'll see a few early openings a la Bass Pro.

That's not the proposed Best Buy...

Best Buy is relocating to the old Linen and Things (next to Rona, and Lamles I think).

That is the location of a plus size womens store (I think it's called Laura Plus?)

It better be something that doesn't suck. Being the closest shopping center to my house, it better damn well be something that I want to go in every time I stop by the area.

If it's some clothing store or another grocery store I think I'm moving.

Count on it being this. That particular strip is mainly womanly things, so clothes wouldn't be unlikely.

It looks like Bed Bath & Beyond is moving into the old Linens n Things in Brentwood Village. Good that something is moving in as there have been a lot of vacancies popping up in the mall/plaza lately.
