Maybe they need a hypnotist. Is Reveen still around?
That's the beauty (or beast) of the playoffs. Everything that has been done in the regular season would be irrelevant once 16 teams start playing in the playoffs, and we've seen crazy stuff happen in the playoffs in recent memory.

Jets putting on a clinic against the #1 ranked Dallas Stars. Jets win 3-0.

49-24-6.

Tied with Colorado. Saturday's game will probably determine who will have home ice advantage in the first round.

If the Jets continue to play that way they are cup contenders.

I suppose that's the tricky but with the Jets. They are legitimately top 3 or 4 best team in the league...until they aren't. Their consistency issues are the biggest inhibitor to the West Final or the Show.

If the Jets can somehow win out the season (necessary for home ice in round 1) - the 2023-24 record will be 52-24-6 = 110 points

Not bad considering in their one truly dominant season to date, 2017-18, the record was:
52-20-10 = 114 points.

If the Jets win out the regular season, that would be pretty amazing. Obviously home ice would be nice in the first round, but the bigger fish I think would be to continue playing games the same way as last night. If they can return to form defensively, they have a legitimate shot of going quite deep these playoffs. Anyways, the win streak is fun too!

COL, SEA, VAN on the sched. If they could win out, that'd be a great run heading into the playoffs. Currently on a 5 game heater.

I was hoping they'd get things sorted before playoffs after the last month or two of not good hockey.

Also, I skimmed the playoff ticket presale today. Looks like maybe 500 or 600 seats available for game 1. Lower bowl is scattered single seats. Upper bowl it's the top few rows mostly in the corners available.

Slightly more for game 2. Will undoubtedly sell out immediately once general sale goes online.

Re playoff tickets

Every full season and every half season STH is given a seat for playoffs if they want. For half season people may need to be relocated as two people normally share a seat. The pre-pre-sale then goes to quarter season STH. So if all those opt in that is 4x per seat. This season everyone in quarter season that wanted playoffs was given them.

If we go back to the return of the team to Winnipeg you couldn't even get a quarter season as they were fully allocated on full season and half season STH. Just because the playoffs will all be sold out does not mean there are not still issues with attendance.

As a reference point mid rows, 300 end seats for the playoffs are as follows:

First round - $98/seat
Second round - $114/seat
Conference Final - $130/seat
Stanley Cup - $195/seat

If you can lock in potential game 7 Stanley Cup tickets at $195/seat you are laughing. Now it is a whole different thing on if the current team has legs to pull that off.

Most of the reason we keep our season tix now is for the cheap playoff tix!

I didnt say the attendance problems are gone. Just saying if you want playoff tix and dont have any yet, better get on the general sale when it opens.

Updated attendance with 2 games left. It is much better than earlier in the season. Even included a run of 4 sellouts in March.

I guess that's why I haven't read anything about attendance in the news lately.

GREAT to see the Jets win one against Dallas last night. IMO if they can finish second in the division it's not a bad thing. They would start their first series at home and stay sharp against arguably a tougher opponent.

Not too bad given all the noise on attendance this season IMO

What happened was the Jets played a solid 60 mins of hockey and dominated a contending team. The team we saw today is the team we should have seen during that six game losing streak that likely cost us finishing first in the Central. No, it isn't the end of the world but of the Jets are truly contenders, they need to stop allowing mental blocks affect their games, again like they did during that six game losing streak.

I still think we are too inconsistent of a team to be a real contender because history keeps repeating itself in that regard (playing inconsistent) over and over again, year after year (except 2017/18). With that being said, I would happily accept being proven wrong.

Any combination of a Jets win or OT loss against Seattle or Vancouver, or a Colorado loss of any kind, would clinch home ice advantage for the Jets. The good news for the Jets is, of course the Kraken are not a good team, and Vancouver (who will almost certainly clinch 1st place against Calgary), will be resting most of their starters on the final game, if the Jets somehow lose vs Seattle, and the Avalanche win.

Apparently playoffs begin Saturday night. It would likely be a 7 PM start in Winnipeg.

We know the Jets are a very good team, but given the history, we almost always stoop low to a team who is not doing well, and tend to get embarrassed by them.

We should be beating Seattle come Tuesday, and then finishing off the regular season with Vancouver on Thursday. Could be a potential match up for the West Final, but as previously mentioned before, the playoffs are a different breed altogether.

Before we even entertain the West Final thoughts, we will almost certainly have to get through #1 ranked Dallas (who will either play LA or Vegas). We should focus on that, before or counting the chickens when they hatch.

As of today, it is more than likely Vancouver plays Nashville, and if any upset takes place, it will be this one. The Canucks goalie is not 100%, and Nashville looks scary in the second half of the season.

However, unless Dallas chokes, we will ahve to get through the Stars to even consider the Conference Finals. Although if Dallas is upset, we would either play LA or Vegas, depending on who ends of as the Wildcard. Since there is zero chance for the Kings, we have to hope for a rematch against Vegas.
