Wow, game 7 coming up for Toronto-Boston. Man does Boston have to be thinking "not again" after blowing a 3-1 series lead last year. Second win for Toronto without Matthews. Gonna be a rocking Saturday night and hopefully a fully healthy team.

Poor Woll was 0.1 seconds away from his first career playoff shutout.

The Leafs have all this high end offensive talent and this season had a lot of scoring in the league. But, they still can't get past the 3 goal mark.

Maybe the most horrific hockey in the last decade by both teams.

Remove them both from this playoffs.

Terrible.

It was actually prototypical playoff hockey. Low scoring, great defensive play, physical.

Not everyone got matched up with some shit team like the Kings.

Playoff hockey is never pretty hockey. Very obstructive, often violent but, exciting nonetheless.

What happens when a stoppable force meets a very movable object? Find out in game 7 Saturday night.

If Vancouver can take out Nashville, we will be assured of one Canadian team reaching the semifinals.

What are you talking about?

Don't watch Game 7 then because you'll be bored to death. It's going to be a 1-0 game. I don't blame teams for playing that way. Neither wants to make a big mistake and screw up.

Go watch a Flo/Tam game or Dallas/Vegas.

The Boston/Leafs series has been the lowest quality of hockey I've seen in a long time, let alone exiting.

I'd love to have a Bettman veto that permits him to reinstate (Tampa in this case) and determine that both the Leafs and Bruins should go home.

^ I realize this is your thread but I disagree.

Leafs vs Bruins also = way more shots than the other series... and stellar, highlight reel goal-tending.

Sorry for the interruption... back to the McLove-in.

Wow, ok well good thing people like you have no say in the NHL. It's been some of the most fun hockey to watch h in the playoffs. 2 very good teams with one of the original rivalries. Also Boston finished the year 1st place in the league, the Leafs could have only wished to play an easier team like L.A. remember at the start if the season Edmonton was supposed to be the team to watch? Let's see bow they fair against a better skilled team next round.

Boston was maybe top 5, certainly not #1. They weren't even top in their division.

The really poor quality one with limited action, far too much tentative play, shitty PPs and little care by most it seemed.

I did a poll at my afternoon men's league (with about 30% Toronto fans) and nearly everyone agreed that it was terrible.

Sorry, but the bolded is the only defensible bit, I think most who watched will agree. It was aggressive and exciting hockey from wire to wire.

Tentative play is quite literally one of the hallmarks of playoff hockey, especially when there's a lot on the line. Usually the first couple games are the most high flying, when elimination isn't yet a factor.

Look at the scores of lasts nights game. I didn't watch them but the scores were 2-0, 1-0. I'm sure they weren't bad games to watch. There's a certain intensity in low scoring elimination games, where you know one mistake could cost you the series.

Thousands of Toronto families in their one window, one bedroom apartments will be glued to their tv's tonite watching another disappointing end to their hokey season. On the plus side, they don't have to live in Edmonton.

Both were infinitely more exciting than the previous game, but lets move on.

Good to see the Nuks take out the Preds. I am really curious to see how Edmonton Vancouver match up in the playoffs.

Here's hoping Dallas takes game 7.

Feel like the Leafs have all of the momentum and skill to take tonight, but it will be quite the do or die game for both teams.
