Could be but, I haven't seen anything official/reliable. Still gets referred to the approved height of 175 metres.

This one is going to end up looking a lot better then the RBC boring glass box south of it no matter what the eventual height is.

I hope to get a better photo from the 9th floor patio at work of both 1 York and the two condo towers going up. My office view of the lake has its days numbered...

The two condo towers are very tightly packed in.

Tough to grab a decent photo.

Why is L off this list? It should still be number 11. This racoon and the crane operator that took the pictures last week will tell you the building is not done yet. Yes the racoon climbed 213m.

Both taken by the operator who tweets under the name @SkyJacked793,

Has been occupied for months and the construction hoist was removed half a year or more ago. The crane remaining and any work relating to its operation is clearly not critical to the condo's operations.

it's a judgement call as it could take a year or more after initial occupancy for these tall towers to be complete.

As long as hard hats are required on site and the building is not fully occupied it's still under construction. Until the sidewalk is opened and the construction fencing is removed it's still an active construction site. Until they complete the podium and open the park and continue to have part of the esplanade blocked it's still under construction. I realize they are taking their sweet ass time here but it's still not done. Try telling that it is to the people who have units the crane is currently occupying as support bays.

I thought the tower crane was actually part of the completed design it has been up for so long.

LOL it's feeling that way. I just want the sidewalks back and the park to be completed so that section of Yonge becomes a bit more pedestrian friendly again.

Okay. I have heard rumours why the crane hasn't been taken down. Let's just say L Tower is more complete than other projects that have been shifted in the database.

On the completed archives thread there is a part which gives an explanation on when a building is complete.
http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=171083

Quote:
A completed building can be considered such - and added to the 'tallest' lists - if it fulfils all three of the following criteria:

1) topped out structurally and architecturally,

2) fully-clad,

3) open for business, or at least partially occupied

The Canada forum doesn't bother following the forum guidelines for a building being under construction, don't know why we'd bother for completion.

I just recall the editors of the database never fully reaching a consensus on these things. The forum is still heavily influenced by the Chicago contingent where multi-level basements are not common. Excavation is clearly not construction but, it's too large of investment to dismiss as part of the initial site preparation. They just need a more precise thread name.
