That would mostly affect parts of streets between Sherbrooke and the mountain (and between Saint-Antoine and René-Lévesque) in the western part of downtown (west of Parc/Bleury) and below Sherbrooke (east of University). Most other places downtown are reasonably level.

Here are a few viewed from the top of a few slopping streets downtown (not really canyons though):

Ottawa's downtown is on a slope too, but it's not as pronounced as Montreal.

eg: O'Connor-

Laurier

yes you are right..When people mention urban canyons for Ottawa, I just always mentally refer to the flat sections of Laurier, Queen, Slater and Albert...There are some hilly areas downtown here too. i.e Albert at Bronson.

Great picture Ramako!

I thought Peter Street Condos was supposed to be curtainwall like in the rendering? The cladding looks awful.

I think we need to give Peter Street Condos more time before we judge. Could turn out alright and it has its minimalist design working in its favour.

Toronto's canyons ain't gettin' the respect they deserve on this board. too bad. I like 'em.

Meanwhile in Montreal...

McGill street with a nearly topped out Altoria finishing it off.

Bleury/Parc.

Rachel street (I know it ain't the Grand canyon)

St-Jacques street. A 95m tower is currently in site prep in the background. St-jacques will be dope.

That's McGill Street, although you're right, Le Victoire is on St-Jacques.

I had mistakenly posted McGill instead of St-Jacques. It has since been changed.

I meant window wall but I stand corrected.

What I mistook for window-wall was actually the "underbelly" of hybrid curtainwall shadowboxes.

The glass is being installed and it looks great in person.
