I'd like to see an aerial to see where the tree moved to in relation to its original location.

That would be an incredibly mean bait-and-switch from the tree's perspective...

I suppose they'll have the other half of the lot to use as staging? With the rest of the spaces in the area already developed, along with 92 Red River seemingly going up at the same time, it seems like it will definitely be pretty crowded around there construction-wise for the next 3-4 years. And that will only be crazier if any of the three Rainey towers (River St., 9092 Rainey, or 80 Rainey) start in the next year or two as well.

Really, Rainey will go from being a small neighborhood near downtown in 2005 to likely one of the densest areas in Austin by 2025.

Has M2's (800') Ritz-Carlton tower died??? The Travis and M2's tower were to share the same (or directly adjacent) site, correct?

Not sure. I was just told that the Travis was going up soon.

Urbannizer did an awesome update of the Rainey projects today, and this one was missing. So I'm guessing it's still dirt and weeds.

Recent scuttlebutt is strongly suggesting this (Ritz-Carlton) is back on.

No, just some site prep to move a tree.

This site was originally one lot with multiple condominium residences. It will now contain two separate developments with different owners. That will either require a subdivision of the lot, or a complex condominium instrument to divide ownership between the two parties, and a possible other layer of condominium for individual residences if any are to be sold.

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering how this would get done with two owners on the same plot of land.

No pictures but I was walking the trail by this site today and it looked like a survey crew and bulldozer were onsite doing some work.

Nice. Scraperwill knows about dirt moving, and his comment is money. Also, there is a lot of dirt moving happening on the north end of the 98 RR site.

But what's happening on the big parking lot right next to the IHOP? That one's also fenced up. It looks chaotic in Rainey. Will definitely be avoiding it for the foreseeable future. Lol

That's Block 190/99 RR/98RR Phase II aka construction staging area for 98RR.
