I was hoping that if they moved the casino then the Maritime Museum could look seriously at moving into the BC Pavilion. I think the location and building size are ideal.

Team 1040 reports Telus is close to a deal. Either Optik Park or Telus Park. I like Optik Park.

Hmmm...go to Telus Park to watch a soccer game where the inside as well as jerseys are plastered with Bell logos, and to get there you have to walk by Rogers Arena.

Judging from the web cam images, it looks like they've started taking down the central support tower. The yellow crane at the top, and the portion of the tower that extended above the central "ring," are both gone.

I foresee Telus Field! Or Telus Place because it's Vancouver.

If it has to be called "...Place" then I would have preferred HSBC Place...get it?

I prefer Optik to Telus. But "Park" really doesn't make a lot of sense. There is no baseball there, and the field is artificial.

They should call it Telus Center, then go to Toronto and take the naming rights away from Air Canada and call the arena Telus Arena. PARALLELS!!!

Or how about for old time sakes, BC Tel Place. We could just put a ^ between the existing BC Place and write Tel in crude spray paint above it.

BC Telus Place wouldn't be that bad...

But that would be funny, walking past rogers arena to get to telus _____ to watch a team with Bell sponsorship.

Meh. Whatever it is, I'm still calling it BC Place. Hopefully whoever buys the name will at least have the decency to preserve the original name (i.e. BC Telus Place) instead of being narcissistic enough to replace it outright (Rogers everything).
