Too early to judge, pending the cladding and glass, but I'm hopeful this will end up being one of the nicest buildings downtown.

This already makes quite the difference when entering downtown at Wellington St, and that's before it even topped off!

I'm really excited to see some glass go on this. I didn't realize how prominent this would be from King Williams restaurant row.

Also I really hope they make an effort, and it seems like they might, to find commercial tenants that aren't just dentist offices. I believe they have up to t commercial units here, and while I don't expect them all to be boutique local cafes or such, it would be nice to have something that isn't a franchise or office.

It looks like they put efforts in to create quality retail spaces, not just marginal spaces to meet city requirements, so hopefully you are correct.

Hamilton's condo market is still so affordable compared to the rest of the GTA. Still pricey any way you dice it though.

I sold my condo in Burlington in January of this year for $793/sqft. So it's getting up there.

I was thinking more so Mississauga - where new construction is now passing $1,000/ft.

Burlington new construction is a bit higher than Hamilton, but not by much. New construction is going for maybe $800-850 from what I remember. Oakville is in between Burlington and Mississauga.

Yeah, definitely leaning more towards the latter part of your statement. At a certain point, relative affordability becomes meaningless.

She does have some nice curves and is a good height, I'll give 'er that.

For some more added perspective I sold a condo downtown Hamilton in 2016 for $400 per square foot.

This is a busy place today. Glass is going in.
Looks like much of the front half of the first floor is done.
Honestly, KiWi is looking pretty hulky.

Seems like this is going up faster than most developments.

I think it's gonna be a great looking building when done. I love the balconies.

Its been interesting to me to see, at less than 15 floors, how prominent this building is becoming in the east part of downtown simply because of its height relative to otherwise low-rise surroundings, while 15-storey buildings west of downtown go unnoticed next to taller buildings.

I wish the city would force the sale of all the parking lots in this part of the city, and sell them off to developers at cost. Imagine what this area could achieve if all these lots were filled in with medium rise developments like these.

Other cities have done it....why can't we?
