Philly-centric art in the new Comcast Center seeks to connect its sky-high offices with the streets below | Inquirer.com
The public can see the large sculptures in the entrance of the center, but there is no public access to the local art inside. Still, the company hopes to offer public tours beginning in early 2020.

Nice set! Appears you had one those typical hazy summer days for your photo shoot.

I had depositions at Mellon Bank Center over the last couple of days. Yesterday, I tried to sneak in to get a drink at the “soft opening.” However, they wouldn’t let me in unless I was a guest or a specially selected Comcast employee. Of course, it’s open officially on Monday. Today our conference room looked directly across at the CTC from Mellon Bank Center’s 48th floor. There is still plastic coating dangling from the horizontal triangular protrusions. It has turned to gray over time. There is also very bad staining on those protrusions, either from corrosion or the residue of the adhesive.

Opening Day!

Q&A with Norman Foster's right hand man for CTC:
https://www.inquirer.com/business/co...-20190812.html

Ribbon cutting for The Four Season and Skybar, etc is at 9AM, then everything should be open from there, not sure when service at the Skybar will be starting today--but a gentleman in the Four Seasons lobby said--you should be able to ride up and take pics during the day if you want.

Stunning

It was worth the wait - looking forward to drinking and eating up there.
Here are just a few:

There are about 80 pics and a few videos from the 60th floor and elevator ride up here, if you want to see (I don't want to spoil it for anyone planning on checking it out very soon).

Ok 2 more - and I'm done. Make a reservation if going at night (that includes for Bar service) is my only advice.

So, you will need reservations or they won't let you up. We had drinks at JG SkyBar...the place is cavernous and very modern in design. For some reason, it felt like it could be used to make a scene from the original movie American Psycho...LOL

Oh...and the glass elevator ride is fun. Your ears will pop from how fast it moves and the change in pressure as you go up to the 60th floor.

When I went with friends on opening day we also went in the giant sphere. It was a bit self-appreciative at points but it was still really cool (they should definitely make it into a Star Trek experience or something at some point)

I went on Sunday and there was a group of Australian guys in flamingo shorts, white tees, and bermuda hats. So I'm assuming the answer is no (within reason, at least). After all, it is a hotel bar.

I was there on Sunday for lunch and there does not appear to be a dress code. Food was great but the service was a little off.
