Looks like they are going to continue building those apartments after all, even if the project is stalled.

Lone Star may be back on, as it appears Aqualand no longer owns it, if I'm reading this right:

This has gone too far to stall now, especially with the apartments project moving ahead. You'd have to be a fool to not get into the retail here if you can afford it.

Lone Star didn't get auctioned after all.

"Local lawyer Dale Weyand said in an email that he had been instructed to “pull the sale” by NCC Financial, a Houston firm that loaned the $7.4 million to the brewery’s owner, Lone Star Brewery Development Inc., in 2015."

I wish I knew what this means for the property.

Up for auction again...

Lone Star owner faces foreclosure for third time in four months

The 32-acre property will be sold on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse on March 6 after the subsidiary, Lone Star Brewery Development Inc., defaulted on a $7.4 million loan, according to county property records and foreclosure listing service RexReport.

Do they literally do auctions on the steps of the courthouse?

Surely there's something more formal than that when this kind of money is in play.

“Everything’s been paid off — no more foreclosure,” he said. Parkview is “looking now at talking to some other potential development partners and get the project restarted again.”

I'm kind of happy, hopefully they can start from scratch and make it even better. If they do build a theater there again, I want them to build and Alamo Drafthouse... I think that kind of fits for our city. Just my opinion though.
