SAT Concessions Website Destroys SAT Website

Its a shame that the terminal concessions have a much, much better website than the actual airport.

I have actually emailed the airport on this...I think the SAT airport website is nothing short of embarassing. I know an Austin person is going to want to do this so I might as well go ahead and do it...The Austin Bergstrom airport's website...although not THE best...is very well laid out and easy to navigate and should be an example to SAIA's staff on how a website should look.

Thats a website only a kid could love, with the cute little car and plane

I do agree, the website could use some improvement. For comparison's sake, here a sampling of other major US airport sites:

Atlanta

DFW

O'Hare
http://www.ohare.com/

Phoenix

And smaller TX airports

SAT Construction Question

Since this thread is already up...I thought it would give me an opportuinity to ask a quick question (or two - maybe three)about the terminal improvements at SAT. I work with a couple of guys who were former SAT employees and they said construciton hasn't started and was on hold. Has the terminal construction started? Has work on the parking garages started. The longest runway at SAT is shorter than the shortest runway at AUS which leads to one final quesiton...is it true SAT is surrounded and the runways cannot be made longer? Thanks

Construction on the new terminal won't begin until demolition of terminal 2 which they are in the process of.

My mistake, I thought you guys were talking about the second new terminal which would be built on the site that is now Terminal 2.

it definitely has a late 90's "cutesy" feel to the site. i hope they change it to reflect the terminal expansion.
