I got a flyer/menu for a corner pizza place in my mail slot the other day, so now they turned me against pizza. Thanks!

Saw a youtube ad for this last week. Feeling like they're really trying to push public opinion on it

The comedy is that they don't need public opinion. They can do this whenever they want.

I do think they need Squilla to sign off on striking part of Filbert from the city grid.

Yes. Totally. Honestly though, I think that while the design of the filbert street part is cool, They could probably do something cool there without removing Filbert from the street grid.

Awesome photos as always, but boy is the gallery is ugly.
I would love to see that completely knocked down and replaced with towers and pedestrian walkways, like East Market (or an Arena, I guess).

Fashion District really was lipstick on a pig. The 76ers are really the only organization/company in Philly with the money to do a project of this scale at this location at this time. I really can't think of anyone else that would dump this much money into Market East, at least in the next 15-20 years. National Real Estate Development did an awesome job with Ludlow and the other building on Market but it seems like they've shifted their attention to southern Northern Liberties. It's hard to look at these drab aerial photos and imagine a scenario where a 400 foot residential tower and an arena wouldn't be a massive improvement both visually and with vibrancy.

Honestly. These pics were AFTER the hundreds of millions of dollars they threw at that dump?

Stunning. I don't think they need to knock it down. But once they get 76 Place done, and the Gallery is more proportionately correct, they need to reskin that dog.

My god.

Maybe as part of the overbuild on the remaining Gallery spot. lol.

And re-open to the sky on 9th & 10th St. between Market & Filbert. Too many depressing cavernous blocks in that area. The arena would at least build a nicer cave on 10th Street.

Sunk cost fallacy. Tear the whole thing down and build more East Market.

Precisely. Towers, and arena if so, and a 21st century transit hub

I couldn't stand that group. Just beyond annoying and embarrassing posting. Glad I deleted my Facebook and don't need to read that stuff lol...

Same. That page is constant comments by two specific extremely anti-development, pro-car people. I stopped using it because it was just not worth my time.

^ That Robert Young guy blocked me because I called out his insufferable nonsense.
A bunch of angry (mostly white) people that s**t their pants over any and all development in the city.

It's just so funny, because how can a development group be anti development about EVERYTHING.

The people in that group have some of the worst attitudes in the world, I thought reddit was bad.
