Low of 10C this morning. That's what dryness will do. Downtown Montreal fell down to 10.8C so it remained in the double digits. The streak of 36 consecutive lows above 10C remain.

Warmest low was Oak Point Marine, MB at 17.4C.
My prediction is some place will hit 50 humidex in the next few days.
If the heat happened 3 weeks later, Carman's record might have fallen.
The forecast has been dialed back slightly, still going to be a major heatwave though. Detroit radio stations had been talking about 100F+ but that seems less likely according to the latest models.

Friend, you have all my solidarity. I understand you perfectly. In Palermo I have the same problem. From mid-June to mid-September it is rare to record minimum temperatures below 20.0'. For three months temperatures can remain above 20.0'! A nightmare, especially when together with high temperatures there is also high humidity. But here in Palermo it is even worse than in Japan because the Japanese summer (from South to North) is also very rainy and stormy. On the contrary, in Sicily the summer is also almost rainless. Typical Mediterranean summer. A hell without limits!

The next three days will all be 31-33C with Humidex reading nearing 40 (or above). This should heat up my pool quickly. My heat pump for the pool (21 years old) is on the fritz, and I plan to operate the pool unheated this year as a experiment to see how necessary it is. If I can do without it, I will. After all, with all of JTs taxes, I have to save money somewhere..........

This will be the first full summer for mine. I opened it rather early this year and have been in it a bunch of times already; which is kind of unusual for these parts. It's set for 83F (28.3C) but even without the heater running it's spiked to 89F (31.6C).
The sun is crazy strong. I'm sure the heat pump won't kick in once (event if I don't cover it at night) until Friday!
The weather is still garbage out here and the mornings have been brutally cold for June. Saturday was okay but yesterday was windy and generally miserable until the evening. Today is worse—windy but also struggling to reach even 15. We'll FINALLY get our first stretch of nice weather without wind starting Thursday/Friday and into the high 20s over the weekend. I hope it's here to stay now because May and most of June have been wasted "nice weather" months. Though to each their own, I guess—I heard many of the Panthers fans in town for the games absolutely loved the weather. LOL
The heater is our house turned on today. Pretty sure this is the first time I’ve seen it kick on in mid-June in the 7 years we’ve lived here. Temps have struggled to reach the double digits. Reminds of Vancouver in January.
Also FROST advisory? Just 3 days before summer? That’s downright criminal.
I do see there’s hints of some sustained warmth later in the week, which is honestly about time.
Lake Erie is still sucking up quite a bit of heat, so not bad at all here today. Low of 19.6 this morning and a high of 31. It rained a bit this morning before clearing up

Weekend weather up north was sunny, but not hot like it is now. Super clear. Could see the runs at Blue Mountain across Nottawasaga Bay, about 40-50 clicks away.
Also, removed our biggest tree stump yet. Took an hour of digging and sawing. Always feels like a very manly accomplishment when you're done.
And flies started up again. Put out the new fly trap I saw others use. Within 45 minutes it was starting to fill up.
+3 and rain snow mix right now... with some huge flakes.
Peaks had new snow today too.

The warmest low was Harrow, ON at 21.8C. New highest low this year. Only needs to wait till tomorrow to have it confirmed.

So new highest humidex reading is Windsor, ON at 43.1
New warmest dewpoint for now is Sarnia, ON at 22.8C. One of the Hamilton stations also recorded a 23C dewpoint so will need to check the hourly observations.
