Exactly. They promised that as soon as this was opened, they would enforce the no camping rules. Of course, literally a day into it and the city suspended any enforcement. So now we have just as many tents crowding the sidewalks, trashing the area up 24 hours a day, and we have the bridge housing in a major tourist area. REALLY smart planning by our esteemed LA city leaders. They are just scared shitless of the ACLU and homeless advocates so they basically say f the rest of the citizens and lets let the ones on the streets literally do what they want, whenever they want. Damn the rules... And they wonder why they face opposition in every neighborhood they try to force one of these bridge home facilities into. Oh and add the ridiculous costs of building these bridge homes.. Something north of 400k per unit. Fucking ridiculous.
