The population of Winnipeg CMA, as of today is most likely over 750,000. Perhaps it is closer to 755,000. All I know is this number will continue to increase for the next few years, as the economy is relatively strong in Manitoba, and the housing shortage will lure more tradespeople here, especially from Alberta, BC, and Ontario.
I can see many Icelanders settling in Manitoba in the next years. The economy is in ruins in Iceland, and the desired location from Icelandic immigrants seems to be Winnipeg and the Interlake.
PS...Look at the growth of Saskatoon!!!
