Looking at their other locations and their brands, they have many hotels across Canada however the Sandman Signature is their high end brand (from what I can tell) and there are only 6 in Canada and none east of Toronto, not even Montreal

I would imagine that it is the Inn and Suites brand seeing how Kenmount Road isn't really a desirable location for an upscale hotel. But even so, the hotel is going to be pretty big! (3rd biggest in the city, I believe?)
But like you said, I would have much preferred a 17 story hotel in the west end of DT than a 6 story hotel on kenmount road, but maybe we'll see a larger, taller hotel in the downtown eventually
Oh, and
Signal, I love the pictures this morning, especially that west end skyline shot! Even at this time last year that shot would have been very empty! Great to see our two biggest projects well on their way to completion! Keep up the awesome work
