I have to imagine the mayors task force is figuring this out. By my count, looks as though an additional 33 - 36 gates could be added on to the current airport with its 24 gates (including Concourse A's 2 additional south gates) bringing the total to around 58 - 60. Obviously not all at once. But if they are able to lengthen a runway to accept wide-bodies, the airport could handle traffic increases long into the future!
