Riverman, where do you suppose most provincial tax revenue comes from? Winnipeg has 2/3 of the province’s population. If anything, the taxes collected in Winnipeg are subsidizing services in smaller communities — which I understand and support. But you have to remember, there’s only one taxpayer. I pay taxes to the city AND and province. The province has an obligation to fund services in my community too.
