Plans for new Jersey City towers approved

Quote:
Jersey City's skyline will see the addition of three new towers, with the Planning Board approving site plans for a two-tower project in Journal Square and a 53-story tower on Columbus Drive near the waterfront.

The $364 million Columbus Drive project will house 750 units, with 5 percent set aside as affordable housing. It will also include a new school that will be given to the public-school district when it is completed. The plans were approved by the Planning Board on July 18.

Construction on the tower is expected to begin in the winter. It will rise on the site of the parking lot adjacent to Paulus Hook Towers.
