I can pretty much date a house within 10 years......especially if it's built in the 20th century. It's easy to spot the differences between a center hall colonial built in the 20's as opposed to the same style built in the 60's or the 90's. (The one from the 60's will be the most authentic to the 18th century original). There are subtle little details that go in and out of fashon or become economicly popular from one decade to the next.
