All I am saying is if you remove deficit spending from growth the numbers would be similarish for both. My dislike for operating under a deficit for an extend period is it's added risk. It also promotes a culture of deficits are "ok" due to the fact it takes decades for the problem to really manifest into something uncontrollable.

Stagnation and recession don't have to be bad words and can help force organizations into efficiency. Even if it's the organization that pushes itself into recession.

Creating an environment through policy, incentives and infrastructure for free market growth is all a government should do to promote growth.
