Local Business Owners' Confidence Strong

The province's business barometer continues to show that the confidence level of local business owners remains well above the national average. That's according to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business which says 51 per cent of respondents cite that their business performance is good. One-third of those asked plan on adding full-time staff in the coming months. Optimism among Canadian small and mid-sized businesses tumbled in June dropping below 60 per cent this month, while the overall business barometer in this province is at 66.3 percent.
