I should have been more explicit: I meant North America. Melbourne/Sydney - San Fran makes sense though.

QR's/XE's airport authorities are still working in concert in order to attract a European carrier to fly in a similar manner to/fro Saskatchewan. They have been speaking namely with the German airline: Condor. It is difficult for any European carrier to entertain the idea of expansion. (Whilst in a time of economic uncertainty/route contraction.)
