For everyone who might be interested. City Council has been having discussion about the SA Tomorrow planning process. From what I understand, the city staff has come up with a plan and city council is making changes and will ultimately decide land use categories going forward. There has been a lot of NIMBYism, mostly lead by a group called the Tier 1 coalition. They are trying to reduce density in several of the categories, especially those in the Low Density Urban category. I've joined a new group that is pro-density and encouraging Transit Oriented Development. Even though council did have a meeting this morning, they postponed a decision and emails in support of increased density are highly encouraged!
