Personally I wish Moncton had a water front where projects similar to this would shine instead of looking on to a boggy river.

I think you've got the above all right! I am very interested in the revitalization of downtown Sydney. I have only been there a couple of times but it is an interesting (yet seemingly secluded) place.
Moncton would be much more appealing to the eye if it had the waterfront - I think that's why many people are more intrigued with Saint John - it's a much prettier setting.
