I've been watching the MLS all my life and the Crew have a lot of talent. They've been one of the most competitive and best teams in the MLS for 3 seasons and have the talent to win some championships. This beats getting an expansion team with rookies and minimum players and sucking for years even in a watered down league like MLS.

MLS & Columbus have been around for more than "three seasons." In fact, they've been pretty solid for a while now. Additionally, the Crew have already won a Cup (2008) and played for another in 2015.
You know what? Atlanta is an expansion team (started play last season). And they're doing pretty damn good.
