Midtown:

American Heritage Dictionary

mid·town (mĭd'toun') Pronunciation Key
n. A central portion of a city, between uptown and downtown.

Soooooooooooo, Midtown Atlanta is between Downtown Atlanta and Uptown Atlanta....or as we call it Buckhead. Of course unless you are Mr Dewberry...which in case Uptown is at Pershing Point. Midtown is from North Avenue north till Peachtree @ I-85. The eastern and western boundaries are always a little foggy.

Almost every city has a "midtown".....including NYC. Midtown Manhattan is between 14th St and 59 St. East of the Hudson River and west of the East River. I'm sure you already knew this since your avatar has the transit authority emblem present.

I hope this helped.
