Just wondering, has anyone on this thread ever ventured out to Castle Mountain near Pincher Creek? How is it? Here's an Edmontonian who hates Banff's crowds, but is getting a little tired of Marmot. Just wondering if it's worth my while or if I'm better off going to Fernie or Kicking Horse.

The best way I have heard it described is steep, deep and cheap. It isn't a really big hill like Fernie, but they usually get a ton of snow, and the runs they have are pretty challenging. I have only been there once, but my cousin has a cabin at the base and he swears by that mountain.
