The article is behind a paywall but the plan is to transform Valley View from a typical mall to a mix-used development. Sounds like a bigger version of the Shops at Park Lane. They plan on keeping the JC Penny but rebuilding it with a more impressive exterior. The renderings show the AMC theater staying. They plan on condos and hotel rooms and maybe a grocery store anchor (similar to the Whole Foods at Park Lane).

The developers say nothing will happen right now and the redevelopment will be more gradual but not too far off.
