With a lively Downtown full of indy bars, shops and restaurants and a subway station under the Courthouse Square, it's a very cool blend of small town meets big city. Some have dubbed it 'where Berkeley meets Mayberry,' in part due to being Emory adjacent and decidedly left of center.
I think Alpharetta could give Decatur a run for its money on an all around basis.
