I didn't realize the Sterling was under renovation. I worked on a pretty big renovation there in 1996 when the name was changed from the Carlton House. That is when they uncovered the faux green marble columns out front which were hidden since the 70s.
I know the Sterling isn't going anywhere but I do think it will take away a bit from the presence of the CITC. At least at the street level.
