^ The council can't do much to stop our stupidity....other than encourage vertical growth, which is probably what you're implying. We can only hope they pull a Will Wynn and make it a city mandate.

Not to say your parents are stupid, but I cannot fathom buying a home outside 1604. The traffic is terrible and will only get worse.

I, like you (and like a lot of folks) will be looking at the area closest to my workplace and if that is in flux - then downtown it will be.

As it stands, my wife and I were looking a couple of years ago and my exact location was in question. So, we live 0.3 miles from her job (near 410 rather than 1604). It is awesome for her to say the least. Quality of life extends beyond square footage and gated neighborhoods for us.

We love it.
