Yeah, you can stop without having to sit on kneel down. It's just the inexperienced or inconsiderate boarders that do that. I was on the ski out at Sunshine yesterday, I was ready to hit someone because of all the people who just stop right in the middle of the runs, while others go flying past you nearly knocking you over. some people are really rude when they go to the hill.
