I don't think so, since Wal-Mart is waiting for the impending sale of the Tops chain (very close, if you read the papers and talk to enough people)/closing of the current Tops store on Meadow St (very possible, based on the drop in sales and the impending sense of doom from the employees I still know there) to submit their plans for expansion of the Wal-Mart store to a SuperCenter (based on the piece of land that sits empty, plus the rumors and innuendo that Wal-Mart associates and others are spreading). In other words, I would be willing to lay money that by the end of 2010, Ithaca will have a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
