Opened in 2022 and designed by Handel Architects with interior amenities designed by Selldorf Architects, Sven is a 71-story residential tower in Long Island City, which incorporates the best of design and technology.

The second-tallest building in Queens, Sven has 958 residences ranging from studios to three bedrooms of which 288 of which are income restricted. Each residence features floor-to-ceiling windows, washer/dryer, hardwood floors, and kitchens & bathrooms with premium finishes and fixtures. Sven is the first residential skyscraper in New York City to offer View Glass technology, allowing residents to optimize their indoor comfort, views, and sunlight by controlling the tint of their windows through an app on their phone. The property offers residents over 50,000 square feet of amenities, including a landscaped terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a resident lounge, coworking space, and a 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center.

Situated directly across from Queensboro Plaza subway, the building’s central location offers easy access to bus and subway lines, including front door access to the E, M, and R trains.

The Sven development plan includes a half-acre public park that fronts the residential tower, as well as the adaptive reuse of the historic Long Island City Clock Tower. Completed in 1927 and originally home to Bank of Manhattan, the landmarked Clock Tower will now include five unique retail spaces with unmatched convenience and exposure.

Sven is seeking a LEED Platinum certification and will be the first residential building in New York City where residents will have the ability to light up the skyline with the Spireworks mobile app.
