For Canada, the
'City Population' data is likely from 2017. They seem to be using Greater Toronto - Hamilton (Toronto CMA + Hamilton CMA + Oshawa CMA) for their Toronto figure of 7,450,000. On July 1, 2018, Statistics Canada had it at 7,535,936. A year later on July 1, 2019, Statistics Canada had it at 7,680,502, an increase of +144,566.
