Sounds like Kelleher probably wants the Spire to be a project of his own. Atlas was probably the only company willing to bail him out at the time. Maybe now he could find a better deal from another developer as the Chicago real estate market has improved. A new deal as in more money for the project, a bigger stake of his own, a larger commitment. Atlas sounds like they're still willing to take on the project if no else will. It's just they're willing to see what else is available on the market too.

Could be a good move, we'll see! I'm surprised other developers haven't come forward to help Kelleher yet, or they might of and he just can't talk about it right now considering the legal situation.
